It has been a VERY busy past few weeks for me. 1) I’ve become a partner in a 1958 Piper Comanche. 2) Cbeyond (the day job) seems to have no end of work for me to do.
As for the Comanche, it was an opportunity that I just couldn’t pass up. Naturally, it will slow down my build progress, as the funds devote to the projects will be somewhat diverted, but fear not, the RV-10 is still the end goal. I see the Comanche as my means to getting the training, or at least the basics, needed for flying the -10. The insurance companies should also feel a bit relieved by it as well. Given the high time requirement I have to fulfill to fly the Comanche, it looks like an instrument rating is in my not-too-distant-future as well. So, lots going on aviation wise.
As for the RV, I took a couple hours preparing the inboard top wing skins for riveting. I still haven’t decided exactly how I’m going to go about riveting the skins to the ribs, but at least everything is in place.
