Match drilling the outboard leading edges

Hours: 7 Manual Ref: Page 17-2 steps 2 and 3; Page 17-3 steps 1 through 6 Partner: n/a

Trying to get more parts to prime (and the weather wasn’t too co-operative) I started working on the leading edges.  It didn’t take long to get everything assembled and match drill all the holes… in both leading edges!  As an added bonus, I even tackled the dreaded “cut a hole in the wing” task that is required for installing the Duckworks landing lights.  I used a jig saw, without too many problems.  I intend on cleaning up the remaining metal that wasn’t cut away by the jig saw using a nibbler and a 1” or 2” debarring wheel (as soon as they arrive in the mail).
