Tailcone deburring (day ~3)

Hours: 4 Manual Ref: Page 10-15 step 4 Partner: N/A

I had a few hours that I could devote to deburring, so I made a bit of progress. The right tailcone skin is now complete and ready for priming. All that is really left is all those small gaps between the flanges of the various bulkheads, the left tailcone skin, half of the bottom tailcone skin, and the back top skin. At the rate I’m going, that should all take through the weekend.

After the Thursday night dinner, Randy Epstein and I went up for a hour around lake Lanier and Jackson county’s airport in his Piper Warrior. On the way back to Gwinnett we tried to find Mathis (a private airstrip). As you can see from the pictures, we did not have much luck. Then again, I can’t find that airport during the day, much less at night.

I’m actually post-dating this entry, as I had a logic board failure on my laptop, and I haven’t been able to get back to posting updates until now. No pictures, obviously, but I hope to have some again soon.
