The tailcone is coming together nicely. I managed to cut the notch in the F-1032-R/L angle without too much difficulty. Lots of deburring needs to be done, but again, I’m wanting to see things put together. As you can see in the pictures, I’ve only match drilled the “right” F-1047F stiffener to the bottom skin. At first I was thinking it was going to be harder than it actually was. Even this far into the project, I’m still amazed at how precise everything fits together. The stiffeners worked out to the exact length they were supposed to be. I guess I must be measuring appropriately. The plans stated that the saw horses were to be placed as they are in the picture, no idea why. The next few steps have the whole assembly placed right side up. I’m just following the instructions, curious as to how the assembly text changes with the wings and fuselage plans.
