Trim Cable Anchor Brackets

After a couple hours final drilling LOTS of holes in the elevator skins, it came time to drill the holes as marked in the plans for the trim cable anchor brackets. I figured I’d use my drill press, but even in the press, the drill bit tended to migrate. Even with the work pieces clamped to the drill press table. The bit actually wanted to bend. Oh well… the holes are still acceptable distances from the edges and now they are fairly easy to figure out which goes where when I reassemble them after priming. I know others are re-enforcing the welds that Vans does for this piece. Since I don’t know the first thing about welding, for now, I’m leaving them alone. I may re-visit that decision at a later time.
